I love this fight, because it is really rare that you will see an established NHL player go at it with a guy that will never play a NHL game of his career. But I liked Fournier, and was really pumped to see the guy square off with Adam McQuaid, even though the final result was shit. Fournier was a summer signing, he just won the Memorial Cup and was a great point producer throughout his last season and post-season. He also was a very decent fighter in the QMJHL. So I was happy our prospect fought a real tough customer in Adam McQuaid in a preseason fight. On paper, I think McQuaid would've won hands down though.

They enter a staged fight right at the Bell Center near the Bruins' blue line far from the play. They look at each other for a while. Fournier comes and tries to grab McQuaid's jersey but by doing so he makes McQuaid fall on his knees. McQuaid is now in trouble and doesn't want to get punches so he tackles Fournier to the ice. But they get back up, Fournier tries to get his right free but McQuaid is hugging him very hard. They lose their balance and they fall. Fight over.

Review: no punches thrown. It was a wrestling match and it ended quickly. I was disappointed in McQuaid because Fournier definitely wanted to go into a full-scale fight but McQuaid either didn't want to get injured or didn't want to lose the fight, since he was a bit in trouble. I give it a 2, since I had fun watching it still.

Stefan Fournier agrees to a go with Adam McQuaid and the two squareoff behind the play. Fournier shows left and moves in, grabbing on with the right which puts McQuaid off balance. McQuaid steadies himself and moves in close on Fournier, which gets him off balance. Fournier goes down underneath McQuaid but they bounce up, still in close. Fournier then falls on top of McQuaid and the linesmen get in. Awful fight, neither guy really got his footing in this scrap. Not a punch thrown here.

The worst hockey fight in the history of hockey fights. They squared off for about 10 minutes and then Fournier tackled McQuaid twice.

Fournier's not a bad scrapper actually, he had a few wins with Halifax.Reply

Uh...I like Fournier and hate Boston, but Fournier didn't win that fight. You don't win a fight by tackling the guy.Reply

put out Tinordi, Murray, White, Fournier and Tarnasky and tell them to run everything that moves.

That's what I'd do but change White for Moen ... White is a terrible punching-bag

White beat Johnny Boychuk like a cheap hooker. He also beat Steve Ott. He wins fights, he just has a habit of biting off more than he can chew.

Moen doesn't fight anymore at all, and he doesn't play with passion.

That's a funny assumption, Moen fought 6 times last year, and White, 2 times.
